HEALTH WARNING REGARDING THE COVID-19 VIRUS 

Dear patients and caregivers,

Cancer patients are at a high risk of contracting the virus because they have a weakened immune system.

IGAZI strongly recommends SELF ISOLATION as much as possible for all PATIENTS currently on CHEMOTHERAPY

In addition:

- wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.   

- if soap and water not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol

- avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth

- cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or into your elbow and then throw away the tissue 

- clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe

- stay at home when you are sick

- avoid close contact with people who are sick

GO FOR A FLU VACCINE - patients and family - make arrangements first before sitting in a doctors waiting room or the clinic.
